Pavlovich teams have had the huge satisfaction of delivering the formal transport contract for the World Choir Games in Auckland.

This event brought together over 10,000 dedicated singers from all over the world to perform in community and competitive events.

By the numbers

We had over 36,000 pairs of feet onboard our buses and coaches over the two-week period of the Games.  We travelled no less than 60,000 kilometres.

On the busiest day we operated 53 airport transfers

  • There was a total of 1258 individual one-way transfers
  • We moved 176 different choirs from more than 30 countries.
  • Pick-ups were from 71 different locations right across Auckland
  • Groups were delivered to 78 locations creating a complex web of origin and destinations.

We ran 524 one-way charter movements and 367 return trips.

Making it all possible

The partnership with the organisers and some massive effort from the whole Pavlovich team helped us meet this logistical challenge. It has been one of the biggest transport and participation events in Auckland since the Commonwealth Games in 1990.

The complex transport requirements provide a great example of how our teams can streamline and ensure smooth delivery of some complicated logistics.

The city truly was alive with the sound of music.
